Home  /  Where you stay

Ten places to stay. One of them is yours.

Seven private cabins surround the lake, each named after an animal that lives here. This year we added three modern suites near the treatment centre. Every one is assigned to you for the whole three weeks.

New for this season

Three modern suites.

Built this year for guests who want less to think about. The cabins are wonderful, but a cabin asks something of you. These do not.

New

The modern suites

Three of them, a short walk from the treatment centre.

  • A walk to your therapies, not a drive across the property
  • Central heating, so you set it once and forget about it
  • Modern bathrooms and kitchens, easy to move around in
  • Simple to manage on a low energy day
  • Only three, so they go early in the season
Seven cabins

The cabins by the lake

For guests who want the woods, and the walk.

  • Set among the trees around the private lake
  • A personal infrared sauna inside every cabin
  • Books on the shelf, and proper quiet
  • One or two bedrooms, so family can stay with you
  • Certain cabins take dogs

New this year

Eagle Chalet, and the two walk out rooms below it.

One building, three separate places to stay. The chalet takes the main floor and lives like a house. Below it, at ground level with their own doors out to the trees, are the King Room and the Queen Room.

The deck belongs to the chalet. The doors underneath belong to the King and Queen rooms.
Eagle Chalet

The whole main floor, to yourself.

If you are bringing family, or you simply want room to spread out, this is the one. It is a house rather than a room. Full kitchen, a family room under open wood beams, a dining table by the windows, a king bed and your own bathroom.

The deck runs the length of the building and looks out over the valley. Most mornings it is the warmest place on the property.

  • King bed and a private bathroom
  • Full kitchen with a proper fridge and stove
  • Family room and dining area, open plan
  • Private deck with a table for eating outside
  • Room for a support person, or the whole family

King Room, walk out

A king bed, your own ensuite, and a door to the outside.

The larger of the two walk out rooms. A solid timber king bed against a slatted feature wall, your own ensuite bathroom, and two reclining chairs by the window for the afternoons when sitting is all you want to do.

You step out at ground level, straight onto the property. No stairs.

  • King bed
  • Your own ensuite bathroom
  • Two recliners and a sitting area
  • Ground level, no stairs to manage
  • Shares a kitchenette with the Queen Room

Queen Room, walk out

Quieter, simpler, and the bathroom is yours alone.

A queen bed, a recliner by the window, and a dresser with more drawers than most people fill in three weeks. The bathroom sits just outside the room rather than inside it, and it is dedicated to you. Nobody else uses it.

Guests who come on their own often choose this one. It asks nothing of you.

  • Queen bed
  • A dedicated bathroom, just outside the room
  • Recliner and a reading corner
  • Ground level, no stairs to manage
  • Shares a kitchenette with the King Room

There are only three of these and they are assigned for the full three weeks, so they tend to go early in the season.

Your family can come with you

At no additional cost. We believe part of healing is being with your family, and three weeks is a long time to be away from the people you love. Most cabins have two bedrooms for exactly this reason. There is a beach and a playground for grandchildren, and certain cabins allow pets.

“We bathed in the beauty of nature with many walks around the lake and through the trees, watching our children and grandchildren play on the beach, in the water and at the playground. This has filled our hearts with gratitude.”

Kathy Evans  ·  Grand Forks, BC

What all inclusive actually means

Once you have paid for your stay, you never think about money again while you are here. Not for therapies, not for the meals, not for the nordic spa. There are no extras and nothing gets added at the end.

The small things

A welcome card. A flower on the table. A properly made bed with cozy comforters. These are the things guests write about afterwards, more often than the therapies.

“It is even all the little things you do to make this place so special. The welcome card, the flower on the table, the most comfortable bed with cozy comforters, the books in the cabins, the infrared sauna in the cabin.”
