Extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation on sixty private acres in British Columbia, one hour and fifteen minutes from Kelowna International Airport. Single sessions, with or without an overnight stay.
EBO2, also written EBOO, stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation. Extracorporeal simply means outside the body. Your blood is drawn continuously, passed through a circuit where it is filtered, oxygenated and exposed to ozone, and then returned to you. The whole loop runs for about an hour.
The distinguishing feature is volume. Injection based ozone methods treat roughly 250ml of blood in a session. An EBO2 circuit can process several litres.
We run the PurxCell EBO2 system, which pairs the filtration and ozonation circuit with the Hemealumen photobiomodulation device. It is the same equipment used by regenerative and functional medicine clinics internationally, and our team is trained on the manufacturer's protocol.
The circuit
What happens to your blood between leaving your arm and returning to it.

Stage 01
Your blood passes through a high efficiency filter that removes inflammatory proteins and other unwanted material from the plasma.
Stage 02
The filtered blood is enriched with oxygen, supporting the ordinary work your cells do to produce energy.
Stage 03
It is exposed to medical grade ozone outside the body. The ozone never enters you. It acts on the blood in the circuit and is gone before the blood returns.
Stage 04
The blood then passes through the Hemealumen device, where up to six wavelengths of light can be applied: red, blue, green, amber, UVA and UVC.
Stage 05
The blood is reinfused. Over roughly an hour, a large volume passes through the circuit, far more than any injection based ozone method can treat.
People book EBO2 for general wellness reasons: a sense of sluggishness that has not shifted, interest in supporting the body's own detoxification pathways, curiosity about oxygenation and circulation, or simply because they have read about it and want to try it somewhere unhurried.
We are going to be straight with you about the evidence, because you can find plenty of websites that will not be.
EBOO has been studied since the late 1990s, principally by Di Paolo and colleagues at the University of Siena, who published on more than 1,200 treatments in 82 patients. Their work reported the technique was tolerated without significant technical or clinical problems, and described measurable changes in oxidative stress markers after sessions.
That research looked at severe peripheral arterial disease and related vascular conditions. It is preliminary. The studies are small, mostly uncontrolled, and two decades old, and the authors themselves called for larger trials that have not really followed.
Health Canada does not recognise established health benefits from ozone exposure and has not licensed ozone generating devices for therapeutic use in Canada. You should factor that into your decision. If a clinic tells you EBO2 is proven or approved, they are not being accurate with you.
What we offer is the therapy itself, delivered carefully on proper equipment by trained people, in a quiet place, with honest information about what is and is not known.
EBO2 is not suitable for everyone. The therapy is generally ruled out in pregnancy, in G6PD deficiency (favism), in people with bleeding disorders or on certain anticoagulants, in uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, and following a recent cardiac event. There are others, and some medications matter.
This is why every booking begins with a health questionnaire and a screening conversation. If we do not think it is appropriate for you, we will say so and you will not be charged.
What it costs
Single sessions, no package required, no membership. Prices in Canadian dollars.
One EBO2 session, start to finish.
The same session, plus a night on the property.
Most people travelling from outside the Okanagan choose the overnight. Being able to rest rather than head straight to an airport makes a noticeable difference.
Getting here
The property sits on sixty private acres about forty minutes east of Vernon, British Columbia. From Kelowna International Airport (YLW) it is one hour and fifteen minutes by car, on sealed roads the whole way. Vernon is forty minutes for anything you have forgotten.
Guests travel to us from across Canada. Most fly into Kelowna and hire a car, and the drive is genuinely pleasant rather than an ordeal.
Booking a session and a night together means you land, treat, sleep and fly home the next day. One trip, no rush.

Travelling to us
Every route runs through Kelowna International Airport, then an hour and fifteen minutes by car to the property.
Vancouver to Kelowna is about an hour in the air, or a drive of roughly four and a half hours through the Coquihalla. From Kamloops it is under two hours by road. Island guests usually fly Victoria or Nanaimo to Kelowna via Vancouver.
Guests travel from Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Abbotsford, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Prince George
Calgary to Kelowna is about an hour, direct, several times a day. Edmonton is around an hour and fifteen, also direct. Plenty of Albertans drive instead: Calgary is roughly seven hours, Edmonton about eight.
Guests travel from Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray
One stop through Calgary or Vancouver, usually half a day door to door. Most Saskatchewan guests book the overnight so they are not flying on the same day as the session.
Guests travel from Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw
Winnipeg connects through Calgary or Vancouver. Allow most of a day each way, which is the main reason we suggest the session and a night together.
Guests travel from Winnipeg, Brandon, Steinbach
Toronto Pearson has direct flights to Kelowna on some carriers, roughly four hours forty five minutes. From Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Windsor, Sudbury or Thunder Bay, connect through Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver.
Guests travel from Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Windsor, Sudbury, Thunder Bay
Montreal connects through Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver. Quebec City and the regions route through Montreal first. An overnight either side of the session is the sensible way to do it.
Guests travel from Montreal, Quebec City, Laval, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivieres
Connect through Toronto or Montreal. It is a long travel day from the Maritimes, so most guests build in a night before as well as the night after.
Guests travel from Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton
Halifax connects through Toronto or Montreal. Same advice as New Brunswick: give yourself a night on either side rather than treating and flying.
Guests travel from Halifax, Dartmouth, Sydney
Via Halifax, Toronto or Montreal. Island guests generally treat this as a two night trip.
Guests travel from Charlottetown, Summerside
St. John's connects through Toronto or Montreal, with the time change working against you eastbound. Two nights is realistic.

Before you book
Plan for about three hours at the property. The extracorporeal circuit itself runs for roughly an hour. Before that there is intake, consent and line placement, and afterwards you rest, rehydrate and are observed before you drive or fly.
No. The ozone acts on your blood inside the circuit, outside your body, and does not enter you. This is the main difference between EBO2 and older ozone methods, and it is why the volume treated can be so much larger.
Most people describe it as comparable to giving blood or receiving an IV. Two lines are placed, usually in the arms. You are seated or reclined for the hour and can read, talk or sleep.
No, but everyone completes a health questionnaire and a screening conversation first. Some conditions and medications rule the therapy out, and we would rather find that out before you book a flight than on the day.
Yes. That is the point of offering it as a single session. Many people fly into Kelowna in the morning, treat in the afternoon and stay the night, then fly home the following day.
No. Health Canada has not licensed ozone generating devices for therapeutic use and does not recognise established health benefits from ozone exposure. We think you should know that before you decide, and we are happy to talk it through on a call.
The published protocols describe courses of multiple sessions rather than one. If that is what you are considering, mention it on the call and we will talk about spacing, cost and whether a longer stay makes more sense.
EBO2 is offered as a wellness therapy. It is not a treatment for any disease, and nothing on this page should be read as a medical claim or as a substitute for care from your own physician. Health Canada has not licensed ozone generating devices for therapeutic use. Every booking is subject to a health screening, and we decline bookings where the therapy is not appropriate.
Enquire about EBO2
Tell us where you are travelling from and what you would like to know. We reply personally, usually within a business day, and there is no obligation.
Every booking begins with a short health screening, because EBO2 is not appropriate for everyone. If we do not think it is right for you we will say so, and you will not be charged.
